Dhaka, Dec. 19 -- National Citizen Party's (NCP) Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary has called on people to take to the streets peacefully in protest against the killing of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman bin Hadi.

Speaking at a press conference outside the party's office in Banglamotor on Friday evening, Patwary said: "We do not want to vandalise the Indian [High Commission].

"Those who are trying to provoke such actions. we urge the 180 million people of Bangladesh to come out on the streets in a non-violent and democratic manner."

He added: "Those who want to sabotage, who want to attack journalists, or who want to carry out attacks on embassies. neutralise them and bring them onto the streets as your brothers and sisters...
