Dhaka, June 28 -- The two-day road march to Chattogram Port has ended with hopes that the interim government will retreat from all forms of "anti-national" activities, including involving foreign companies in port management.
Speakers voiced such hopes at the concluding rally of the road march organised by the "Anti-Imperialism Patriotic People" opposite the port building on Saturday.
Ruhin Hossain Prince, general secretary of the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), said: "We have come to Chattogram after carrying out a two-day road march programme from Dhaka to save the port and block the corridor.
"Along the way, members of the public expressed their solidarity with our demands.
