Dhaka, Jan. 11 -- The Chittagong University (CU) administration has escorted Hasan Mohammad Roman, a "pro-Awami League teacher", back to his residence after he was detained by student leaders for nine hours.
On Saturday at 9pm, the teacher was taken from the administrative building in the proctor's vehicle.
Earlier, around 12pm during admission exams, leaders of the Chittagong University Central Students' Union (CUCSU) forcibly took the assistant professor from the law department to the proctor's office.
At 7pm, he was brought to the office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic) Prof Mohammed Shamim Uddin Khan where a meeting took place with the pro-vice chancellor, Proctor Hossain Shaid Shohrowardy, and CUCSU leaders.
