Dhaka, Jan. 27 -- BNP loyalists have expressed excitement over the arrival of party chief Tarique Rahman in Mymensingh after a long gap of 22 years ahead of the 13th parliamentary election.
The BNP's election rally is scheduled to be held on Tuesday at the city's historic Circuit House ground, where Tarique will address the gathering at 2:30pm.
"What could be more joyful than seeing Tarique Rahman up close?" said Shafiqul Islam, a BNP activist, reflecting the mood among party supporters in the city.
Extensive preparations have been completed for the rally. Organisers have built a 64-foot-long and 44-foot-wide stage, while arrangements have been made to broadcast the speech through 70 microphones.
