Dhaka, March 4 -- BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is in "better health than before" as she is experiencing "mental peace" while staying her son Tarique Rahman's home in London, her personal physician Prof AZM Zahid Hossain said.

Zahid shared the update with bdnews24.com from London over the phone on Tuesday.

Khaleda is currently receiving treatment under the supervision of doctors at The London Clinic.

"Madam feels much better than before. Mental peace has contributed to her physical wellness," said Zahid.

In response to a question, the BNP leader said, "All I can say is that she is better now. I won't say that she's almost cured. However, she's in better health than at any other time. All of you, please pray for her recovery."
