Dhaka, Bangladesh, Aug. 7 -- The central bank of Bangladesh has asked the banks to keep their branches near cattle markets in the capital Dhaka open till August 11 ahead of the Eid-ul-Azha.
All the scheduled banks are advised to keep their branches near the cattle markets open on August 9, 10, and 11, according to a notification, issued by the Bangladesh Bank (BB), the country's central bank, on Wednesday
Besides, all the branches were also requested to keep the evening banking services running from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, it added.
The central bank also urged all the banks to follow proper security guidelines to keep the banks and vaults secured during the Eid holidays.
