United Kingdom, June 16 -- CD Projekt Red boss Charles Tremblay has said The Witcher 4 will have a "more console-first development".

The studio is currently working on its next fantasy-RPG through Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5, and CD's VP of technology has now said the developer is focusing on optimising The Witcher 4 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S before turning its attention to PC.

During an interview with Digital Foundry, Tremblay said: "We always do PC and we push and then we try to scale down.

"But then we had so many problems in the past that we tried to see, OK, this time around we really want to be more console-first development, right?
