United Kingdom, Jan. 5 -- Samsung is planning to double the number of mobile devices with Galaxy AI features this year.

The South Korean tech company's co-CEO TM Roh is desperate to ramp up the number of devices with artificial intelligence (AI) as the features are largely powered by Google's Gemini and would give the US giant an advantage over rivals in the worldwide AI arms race.

Samsung rolled out Gemini-backed AI to around 400 million mobile products - including smartphones and tablets - last year but is planning to increase that figure to 800 million by 2026.

Roh told Reuters: "We will apply AI to all products, all functions, and all services as quickly as possible."
