United Kingdom, Sept. 22 -- Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 series could reportedly include a ProRes video recording rival.

According to leaker Ice Universe, Samsung is looking to bring a new pro video feature to its upcoming flagships, with the S26s said to support a new APV codec designed to compete with Apple's ProRes.

The supposed new feature would allow Galaxy S26 devices to capture high-quality video with greater colour accuracy and compression efficiency, marking Samsung's most serious push yet into professional-grade smartphone filming.
