United Kingdom, April 16 -- OpenAI is reportedly considering building its own social network.

The artificial intelligence research organization is said to be coming up with a concept that will compete with Elon Musk's X and Meta's Instagram, according to CNBC.

A source claimed to the outlet that the "project is still in its early stages", and is inspired by their "newest image-generation feature", which is available through their ChatGPT platform.

Last month, it was revealed that OpenAI had developed an artificial intelligence model that is "good at creative writing".

The chief executive of OpenAI, Sam Altman, said it was the first time he had been "really struck" by the written output of one of the company's products.
