United Kingdom, Oct. 14 -- Microsoft has denied rumours that major U.S. retailers Target and Walmart are planning to remove Xbox consoles from their shelves.
The claims, which began circulating on Reddit and X (formerly Twitter) last week, suggested that the two retail giants would stop selling Xbox Series X|S hardware due to declining sales and a supposed shift toward digital distribution, but Microsoft has now confirmed that is not the case.
In a statement to Windows Central, the company said: "Target and Walmart, among other retailers, remain committed partners for Xbox consoles, accessories, and games."
The report added that both retailers have reiterated their commitment to stocking Xbox products in stores and online.
