United Kingdom, Jan. 14 -- Meta is shutting down three of its VR gaming studios as part of cuts.
The tech giant is making lay offs to around 10 percent of the Reality Labs metaverse division, which is impacting Twisted Pixel Games (Marvel's Deadpool VR), Sanzaru (Asgard's Wrath) and Armature Studio (Resident Evil 4 VR) as all three will be closed down.
A spokesperson for Meta told Bloomberg of the wider layoffs: "We said last month that we were shifting some of our investment from metaverse toward wearables.
"This is part of that effort, and we plan to reinvest the savings to support the growth of wearables this year."
The outlet cited an internal memo confirming the developers were being closed down as part of the changes.
