United Kingdom, May 7 -- LG Display's Senior Vice President Byeong-koo Kim has been appointed as a Fellow in the world's most prestigious display society.

The prominent figure - who has been involved in the display industry for 30 years - has become a Fellow of the Society for Information Display (SID).

Each year, SID selects "only the top 0.1 per cent" of its members with "outstanding research achievements" as Fellows, based on "recommendations" from previously appointed Fellows and a "rigorous" committee review.

And once appointed, SID Fellows have the title for life.
