United Kingdom, Aug. 3 -- Apple CEO Tim Cook has revealed iPhone 16 sales are outperforming the iPhone 15.

Speaking on the Cupertino-based company's recent Q3 2025 earnings call, Cook said sales of the iPhone 16 were up by "strong double digits" compared to the iPhone 15 at the same point last year.

He told investors: "We're very happy to see that the iPhone 16 family is doing better than the iPhone 15 family was at this time last year."

The surge in popularity helped push total iPhone revenue to $44.6 billion, a 13 per cent jump from $39.2 billion in the year-ago quarter.

Apple didn't break down sales by model, but analysts suggest the more expensive Pro and Pro Max versions of the iPhone 16 have been key drivers.
