United Kingdom, July 11 -- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle being in first-person "was a given" from the beginning, MachineGames' design director Jens Andersson has said.
The developer explained that adopting a first-person perspective was essential for delivering an authentic Indiana Jones experience for the action-adventure game, as doing so would immerse players directly into the role of the iconic archaeologist.
He told GamesRadar+: "If you're going to be Indiana Jones, you need to look through his eyes. You need to feel like him."
He added: "How would we make you as a first-person player feel like Indiana Jones? We knew that would be really hard, but actually it was one of the things that we felt we hit.
