United Kingdom, Jan. 26 -- Google has tackled an issue which meant Gmail users were flooded with spam warnings.
Over the weekend, users were battling emails being misclassified as spam, along with additional spam warnings and delays, with the cause still unclear.
As reported by Tech Radar, some users started seeing Primary, Social and Updates emails in their Primary inbox, while some spam messages appeared as legitimate correspondence.
There were also in inbox delays, which was a problem for those using their email for two-factor authentication.
The issue started at around 5am PT (1pm GMT) on Saturday (24.01.26), as the Google Workspace status update read: "Gmail users might see banners indicating missing spam checks."
