United Kingdom, Oct. 8 -- Google has unveiled Gemini 2.5 Computer Use, a powerful new AI model designed to control digital devices and applications on behalf of users.

Announced in a post on the Google DeepMind blog, the Computer Use model allows Gemini to interact directly with apps, browsers and operating systems, performing complex multi-step tasks such as filling in forms, booking appointments, editing documents and configuring software settings autonomously.

Google describes the model as a major step toward creating "truly useful AI agents" capable of understanding both user intent and computer interfaces.
