United Kingdom, Jan. 21 -- Google is expanding free access to its Gemini AI tools across education, making more generative AI features available to students and educators through Google Workspace for Education at no additional cost.

The update will bring select Gemini in Workspace features to Education Fundamentals, Education Plus, and the Teaching and Learning add-on tiers, widening access to AI-powered writing, analysis, and creative tools that were previously reserved for paid plans.

Google has said the move reflects strong demand from schools looking to integrate AI into everyday teaching and administrative workflows.
