United Kingdom, Feb. 14 -- Blizzard is reportedly working on turning StarCraft into a shooter with South Korean publisher Nexon.

According to The Korea Economic Daily, the unannounced project has assembled a dedicated internal team within its shooter division to work on the game.

Notably, the report suggests the project is being led by a long-time StarCraft modder, hinting at a development approach that leans heavily on community knowledge of Blizzard's iconic sci-fi universe.

Blizzard itself has yet to confirm the collaboration.

If accurate, the move would pair Blizzard's storied IP with a publisher that has recently gained credibility in the global shooter market.
