United Kingdom, March 14 -- Apple's appeal against the UK government's request to access customer data is to be considered at a secret hearing at the High Court.
The Home Office has demanded the right to access information protected by Apple's Advanced Data Protection (ADP) programme to help law enforcement in gathering evidence but the US tech giant has taken legal action in a bid to block the request and the company's appeal will be heard behind closed doors on Friday (14.03.25).
The appeal is due to be considered by the Investigatory Powers Tribunal, an independent court which has the power to investigate claims against the UK intelligence services.
