United Kingdom, Dec. 8 -- Apple could reportedly lose its chip chief Johny Srouji.

According to Bloomberg, Srouji - the architect of Apple's A- and M-series chips and one of its most influential leaders - has told CEO Tim Cook he is seriously weighing an exit, signalling he may join another firm if he steps down.

His potential departure comes amid a rapid unraveling of Apple's upper ranks.

In the past week alone, the heads of AI, interface design, government affairs and legal all announced their exits, adding to a growing list of veterans retiring or decamping to rivals.
