United Kingdom, Sept. 30 -- Apple is reportedly preparing to host an October event that could showcase its next wave of hardware, including the first M5-powered iPad Pro and an upgraded Vision Pro headset.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the Cupertino-based company is expected to unveil the M5 chip next month, with the iPad Pro tipped to be the first device to ship with the processor.

The tablet will reportedly retain its ultra-thin design and come in two sizes, but with significant performance gains thanks to the new silicon.

It has also been claimed that Apple is working on a refreshed Vision Pro headset equipped with the same M5 chip.
