United Kingdom, June 19 -- Amazon boss Andy Jassy says that artificial intelligence (AI) will replace human jobs at the tech giant.

The tech executive sent a memo to staff on Tuesday (17.06.25) where he urged them to "be curious about AI" and stated that the technology will ultimately lead to a smaller corporate workforce.

Amazon is the latest company to set out its plans for its use of AI amid fears that the advancement in the technology will lead to mass job losses across the world.

Jassy expects AI to lead "efficiency gains" that will enable the firm to cut numbers in its corporate workforce.

He wrote: "We will need fewer people doing some of the jobs that are being done today, and more people doing other types of jobs.
