United Kingdom, Dec. 28 -- Toni Collette has praised Kate Winslet for bringing an "incredible sense of trust and freedom" to the set of Goodbye June.

Kate, 50, made her directorial debut with the Netflix Christmas family drama film - which sees Bernie (Timothy Spall) and his four children, Connor (Johnny Flynn), Julia (Kate), Molly (Andrea Riseborough), and Helen (Toni) confront grief, reconciliation, and love as they gather around their dying mum June (Dame Helen Mirren).

And Toni, 53, and Timothy, 68, think Kate - whose 22-year-old son Joe Anders wrote the screenplay - did an outstanding job.
