United Kingdom, Nov. 13 -- Sofia Coppola "clung to [her] feminine side" after growing up around "a lot of guys".

The 54-year-old filmmaker - who is the daughter of legendary director Francis Ford Coppola - believes that being surrounded by so many guys during her younger years has actually helped her to find her creative voice.

The Lost in Translation director told People: "I feel lucky that I grew up around film and learned a lot about it. And then I just found my own way. And I think going up with a lot of guys, I really clung to my feminine side. I loved films and trying things, and I found what I was into."

Sofia - who has Romy, 18, and Cosima, 15, with her husband Thomas Mars - is now enjoying sharing her work with her daughters....
