United Kingdom, June 29 -- Sir Rod Stewart thinks "music brings us together".

The 80-year-old star hailed music's ability to unify people as he took to the stage at Glastonbury on Sunday (29.06.25), where he filled the Legends Slot on the Pyramid Stage.

Rod - who arrived on the stage to the tune of Scotland The Brave - told the crowd at Worthy Farm: "Enjoy yourselves ladies and gentlemen, please.

"Music brings us together. We need music."

The chart-topping icon subsequently performed some of his best-known songs, including The First Cut Is The Deepest, Tonight's The Night, and Some Guys Have All The Luck, his 1984 hit single.
