United Kingdom, Dec. 21 -- Sir Elton John and David Furnish have celebrated each other on the 20th anniversary of their civil partnership and their 11th wedding anniversary.

The couple made history on December 21, 2005, as they were the first to be legally pronounced civil partners at Windsor Guildhall, Berkshire, South East England, and nine years later - when same-sex marriage was legalised in the UK - on the same day, Elton and David converted their civil partnership to marriage during a ceremony at their lavish Windsor estate.
