United Kingdom, Dec. 10 -- Simon Cowell's fiancee Lauren Silverman changed her name as a birthday gift for him.

The couple have been together since 2012, welcoming a son named Eric in 2014 and getting engaged on Christmas Eve in 2021 during a vacation in Barbados - but it's been revealed that Lauren has since changed her last name to Cowell and she signed the paperwork on her partner's 65th birthday in 2024.

In new Netflix documentary Simon Cowell: The Next Act, Lauren explained she kept her ex-husband Andrew Silverman's last name for the sake of their son Adam but she decided to change it once he turned 18 last year, saying: "I kept it for him ... [But] I don't really want to have my ex-husband's last name anymore."
