United Kingdom, Dec. 13 -- Selena Quintanilla's dad has died at the age of 86.

Singer Abraham Quintanilla Jr's passing was announced by his son, Abraham 'A.B.' Quintanilla III, 62, via a post on Instagram on Saturday (13.12.25).

Captioning a photo of his late dad, and overlayed the post with Pedro Infante's song, Cien Anos, the record producer penned: "It's with a heavy heart to let you guys know that my Dad passed away today."

A.B. did not share any more details about Abraham's death.

The announcement caused thousands of people to express their deepest sympathies to the Quintanillas in the post's comments section.
