United Kingdom, Dec. 22 -- Robbie Williams doesn't celebrate his birthday because it is "pointless".

The former Take That star, 51, has revealed he is a big fan of Christmas and goes all out to spoil his wife Ayda Field and their four children, Theodora, Colette, Charlton and Beau, over the holidays but he never throws a big bash to mark his yearly milestone because he's convinced he is already "celebrated all the time" because of his job.

In an interview with The Sunday Times newspaper, he explained: "I absolutely adore Christmas. But I don't get birthdays ... It is your day to be a celebrity, but I'm already a celebrity - so I get celebrated all the time. Birthdays are pointless for me."
