United Kingdom, March 25 -- Rob Delaney insists sex scenes "usually stink" without an intimacy coordinator.

The 48-year-old actor has opened up on the way racy scenes are filmed in Hollywood, and pointed out that there's a "technical" benefit to getting someone on set to advise the director and actors.

He told the Radio Times magazine: "It's getting better and easier every time, because just from a technical standpoint, why not choreograph that stuff?

"It makes everybody more comfortable. When people resist it and do whatever in the scenes, it usually stinks."
