United Kingdom, Sept. 17 -- Ricky Hatton's family felt that the boxer was "in a good place" prior to his death.
The British boxing icon was found dead at his home in Manchester on Sunday (14.09.25) at the age of 46 and his family have revealed that 'The Hitman' was "looking forward to the future" as he prepared to make a return to the ring against Eisa Al Dah in Dubai in December.
In a statement issued on Wednesday (17.09.25), the Hatton family said: "We are all distraught at the events of recent days. To all our knowledge, despite his well-documented struggles, Richard was in a good place.
