United Kingdom, March 14 -- Prince William is very superstitious about where he sits to watch his favourite soccer team.

The 42-year-old heir to the throne is a big fan of UK club Aston Villa and he often watches the games on television when he's at home with his three children - Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis - and he's revealed seating positions become incredibly important to him as he's convinced where he sits could affect the team's "luck".

He told The Sun newspaper: "If I'm home alone with the children, I probably don't have the pre-match pint [of beer] but I do have a bit of superstition about where I sit when I'm watching them.
