United Kingdom, Nov. 21 -- Pras Michel has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.

The Fugees rapper was convicted of 10 charges - including acting as an unregistered agent of a foreign government - back in April 2023 in an international fraud case after he accepted $100 million from disgraced Malaysian financier Jho Low to influence the administrations of US Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump and his punishment has now been handed down.

He declined to address the court before US District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly doled out his sentence.

But Pras' attorney, Peter Zeidenberg branded the punishment "completely disproportionate to the offense" and plans to appeal both his conviction and sentence.
