United Kingdom, April 8 -- Olly Murs is in the "best shape of [his] life".

The 40-year-old pop star has admitted to being like an "excited little puppy" in the early years of his career, but Olly is feeling happier and healthier than ever, as he prepares for his upcoming tour of the UK and Ireland.

Speaking about his tour preparations, Olly - who released his self-titled debut studio album back in 2010 - told the BBC: "It's a bit mental really, there's a lot of strain so I'm just building the muscles and figuring out what I'm going to say, what I'm going to do.

"I care so much about how it looks, how the fans will perceive it and what the set's going to be like and I just want it to be great for everyone."
