United Kingdom, March 29 -- Paris Hilton's children "have been so confused" after losing their home in the Los Angeles wildfires.

The 43-year-old socialite and her husband Carter Reum - who are parents to Phoenix, two, and 15-month-old London - saw their Malibu house burn down in January, and their young children have found things particularly tough because they don't understand what has happened.

She told Britain's Grazia magazine: "Uprooting them from their home is hard for them. Just the act of rushing out of the house. We had to evacuate twice."

And Paris has been too concerned about the poor air quality in the wake of the blazes to let the children spend as much time outdoors as usual.
