United Kingdom, Jan. 26 -- Pamela Anderson says her decision to take on the lead role in 'The Last Showgirl' was instinctive.
The 57-year-old actress was tipped for Oscars glory for the part, but ended up not being nominated for an Academy Award this year -but she has now opened up about how accepting the role was one of the highlights of her life.
She told Elle digital's January issue about being handed the script for the film by her son, producer and actor Brandon Lee: "This might be my only chance to do a film, so I'm going to give it all I've got."
The film, directed by Gia Coppola, 36, has brought Pamela back into the spotlight with award nominations from the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and Gotham Awards.
