United Kingdom, Jan. 14 -- Nick Reiner's former attorney insists his client is "not guilty" despite stepping down from his case.
Lawyer Alan Jackson had represented Nick, 32, as he faces two charges of first degree murder after the tragic deaths of his parents Rob Reiner and Michele Singer last month.
Appearing on the Hot Mics podcast, he told Billy Bush: "I believe in it. I believe exactly what I said. What I said is the truth. Under the laws of the state of California, he's not guilty.
"It was important for me to make sure that the public understood that as I had to step away."
