New York judge slams Donald Trump in fraud case
United Kingdom, Feb. 17 -- Donald Trump has proven to be "incapable of admitting the error of [his] ways", according to a New York judge.
The former US President has been handed a $354.9 million fine for exaggerating his personal wealth on financial statements, and Judge Arthur Engoron has slammed Trump, his sons Eric and Donald Jr, and Allen Weisselberg - the former chief operating officer of the Trump Organization - while delivering the verdict in his civil fraud trial.
The judge said: "Donald Trump is not Bernard Madoff. Yet, defendants are incapable of admitting the error of their ways. Instead, they adopt a 'See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' posture that the evidence belies."
