United Kingdom, Sept. 15 -- Neil Young made a dash to hospital after his show in California over the weekend due to an "unexpected health emergency in the family".

The 79-year-old rocker performed at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California on Saturday night (12.09.25) and he's now revealed he walked off stage and headed straight to the emergency room.

The Harvest Moon hitmaker shared a picture taken in the back of an ambulance on his website's blog and wrote: "Music was great last night ... After an unexpected health emergency in the family and a surprise visit to the hospital right after the music stopped ... "
