United Kingdom, Feb. 15 -- Authorities have warned it could take "years" to find Nancy Guthrie.
The 84-year-old mother of Today show host Savannah Guthrie has been missing since February 1, and while the Pina County Sheriff's Department (PCSD) have insisted they "won't quit" their search to find her, they know it may take some time to find out what happened.
Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told the New York Times Newspaper: "Maybe it's an hour from now. Maybe it's weeks or months or years from now.
"But we won't quit. We're going to find Nancy. We're going to find this guy."
Authorities have found DNA evidence that doesn't belong to Nancy or "those in close contact to her" at her home.
