United Kingdom, Jan. 5 -- Marisa Abela was "disappointed" to find her partner "on the floor being sick" - because she thought he was about to propose.

The Industry actress married Jamie Bogyo in September and she admitted it took her by surprise when he popped the question on Primrose Hill - where they had first met as students at RADA - in 2024 because she had been expecting it a few weeks before.

She told the Sunday Times Style magazine of his proposal: "I wasn't expecting it. I knew it was coming but we were in Paris a few weeks before and I was sure he was going to propose then.

"We were at dinner with friends and he went back to the hotel saying he was ill but that I should stay. I was like, 'OK, sure, I'll play along.'
