United Kingdom, Sept. 22 -- Marion Cotillard feels "hurt" by comments about her appearance.

The 49-year-old actress fears she's "judged all the time" by strangers and she tries not to let herself feel down about their remarks, but she sometimes struggles to deal with the negativity when it's focused on the way she looks.

She told The Sunday Times newspaper: "I am judged all the time by people who don't know me. This is a very big thing in my life, the judgment.

"And I think, no, I shouldn't be hurt by people who do not know me. But . [It's] about almost everything. The way I dress, make-up, hair.

"The way you behave on a day you were not in a good mood but somebody was intrusive and your reaction was: 'Leave me alone!'
