United Kingdom, Jan. 31 -- Sadie Frost has revealed she had a phone call with Marianne Faithfull just days before she passed away.

The 'Swinging Sixties' icon's death was announced by her spokesperson on Thursday (30.01.25) evening and tributes continue to flood in for the singer and actress.

'Empire State' actress Sadie, 59, was among those to pay their respects and revealed they had planned to meet up.

Alongside a throwback black-and-white snap of her friend, she wrote on her Instagram Story: "RIP dear Marianne.

"We had spoken recently on the phone... And sadly we had planned to meet which hadn't happened. I have lots of amazing memories of times together - love you M."
