United Kingdom, Feb. 12 -- Lindsey Vonn is recovering after undergoing a third surgery following her frightening crash at the Winter Olympics.

The 41-year-old ski racer was airlifted to hospital following the incident during the women's downhill final at the Milan-Cortina Games on Sunday (08.02.26) and she's now revealed she's undergone three operations after being diagnosed with a complex tibia fracture in her left leg.

In a post on Instagram, Vonn shared a picture of herself in her hospital bed with metal pins sticking out of her leg and wrote: "I had my 3rd surgery today and it was successful.

"Success today has a completely different meaning than it did a few days ago. I'm making progress and while it is slow, I know I'll be ok." ...
