United Kingdom, Feb. 6 -- Lil Jon is "heartbroken" following the death of his son.

The 55-year-old star is devastated after the body of his son Nathan Smith - a rapper who was also known as DJ Young Slade - was recovered from a pond on Friday (06.02.26) just days after he was reported missing.

Lil Jon told PEOPLE in a statement: "I am extremely heartbroken for the tragic loss of our son, Nathan Smith. His mother and I are devastated. Nathan was the kindest human being you would ever meet. He was immensely caring, thoughtful, polite, passionate, and warm-hearted - he loved his family and the friends in his life to the fullest.
