United Kingdom, June 6 -- Kristen Bell refuses to work outside Los Angeles because she "can't physically operate in the world" if she is unable to spend time with her family.

The 44-year-old actress is mother to two daughters - Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 10 - with her husband Dax Shepard and Kristen has revealed she won't take on any acting project that will require her to leave town because she needs to be able to see her partner and her kids every day.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she explained: "I can't physically operate in the world if I don't have some part of the morning or evening with my family. I am so rooted in that life, and I can explain it best by saying, I like being an actress, but I love being Kristen.
