United Kingdom, April 17 -- King Charles declared the "three virtues that the world still needs - faith, hope, and love" in his Easter message.

The 76-year-old monarch, who, along with Queen Camilla, will attend a Maundy Thursday at Durham Cathedral on April 17, said "the abiding message" of the Christian festival is that "God so loved the world", and he wants people to come together and continue that.

He said in his Easter message: "The abiding message of Easter is that God so loved the world - the whole world - that he sent his son to live among us to show us how to love one another, and to lay down His own life for others in a love that proved stronger than death.
