United Kingdom, April 30 -- King Charles has seen "the very best of humanity" since his cancer diagnosis.

The 76-year-old monarch has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of the disease since early 2024, and reflected on how he has become a "statistic" with a written message delivered at a Buckingham Palace reception for cancer charities on Wednesday (30.04.25) evening.

He said: "Each diagnosis, each new case, will be a daunting and at times frightening experience for those individuals and their loved ones. But as one among those statistics myself, I can vouch for the fact that it can also be an experience that brings into sharp focus the very best of humanity.
