United Kingdom, Dec. 20 -- Kiefer Sutherland has recalled an "extraordinary" day filming the famous courtroom scene in A Few Good Men with the late Rob Reiner.

The 58-year-old star has reflected on getting the chance to watch the director at work during the sequence when Jack Nicholson's character Colonel Nathan Jessep shouts the immortal line "You can't handle the truth!" in the 1992 legal drama.

Speaking in the upcoming TV special CBS News: Rob Reiner - Scenes from a Life, Kiefer said: "No one said a word, and Rob went up to Jack Nicholson and whispered in her ear, 'Do you want to do another one?' And Jack Nicholson said, 'Well, we're here'. So they did another one, and it was just as extraordinary."
